LamBies & moO's in U.K...!

Stepping beyond the barriers of Europe ... to journey a trip where British English is overflowing!!!
Our first taste of the U.K! This held a whole bunch of curiosity for us!
Our lots of loads of excitement to venture a different culture holding it's unique flavour.

We made a solid decision ;-) seriouslY though!...,
to noT press snooze button, 'cept this time... get up like obedient little soldiers, soon as the alarm 'SANG' so very loudlY!
Dark outside still, Levi sleeping like any mom's dreaM!!! .... soon though, we had to be at the airport!
Speedily, with quick & fast motion, we put our things together in a 'straight stripe', dressed & buckled sleepy-sleepy Levi into his car seat....
mOoooooooo!!!!!!
eeeeeeR.. Slowed down behind a long string of
'STAU'---TRAFFIC JAM....
Mark & I took a breath now!
He blew out some clouds of BIG, black, furious smoke. I gave a vague smile & while clenching my hope muscles with all could musteR.... said: "we're noT gonna miss thaT plane my luV!"(though... UH-OH??? , secretly was thinking)!!
LEvI was already back with his dream stories!??
There's a huge-BIG important reason for all this mouthful! To tell you jusT how we arrived to miSsiNG our flight to Stansted(England) on the 23 of August... in the morning! :-(

We didn't feel or play 'adventures' at all!!!.. but rather, felt secure remaining cloSe to the precious BIG aeroplane machines ;-)

Julia came to join & chill with us, & a kaffee-&-stuff!

... 'till 19:30 & then the "bYe-bYe"-separating gate!

AaaaHH....hmmmM ..content... on a 4suRe way, to meet our 'lamBy-lamB' friends(Walter & Gaylene Fyvie), on their new-found territory(about 3,5 months in U.K at this time)!

Around 21:30 we were reunited with Walter & Gaylene again, when they fetched us from Stansted airport!
Great Paxton is roughly a 1oMin bus ride from the small English village St. Neots.

We stayed with Alan(Gaylene's brother) & Chantelle! Their home was fuLL with all 6(+LeVi) of us for 6daYs!
Now, they've very recently moved into their beautiful new home! :-)
Alan & Chantelle

Think our favourite lamby freundine had done a little thinking-preparing! Walter & Gaylene were keen, adventurous, tour guides right from the outset!!!
Confident with all the days generally planned out & a trusted-&-SuRe map to whip out with comfy breaths between!
hmmm!!! ???
Chantelle helped out loaDs too with directions & generally a sense of direction around London... ThanX Chantelle!!!

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle was our first journey to explore!
A home to the queen on week ends...
So then what's inSide?
Unfortunately, touristy-visitor's don't get a good peep at all the private & personal spaces in this massive well thought-out, solid building! BuT... you can feast eyes on loads & loads of luscious; plum-red, gold, silver & crystal royal fineries!
The art, the original portraits, are well protected... remain untouched & 'shielded' by the high security!
On arrival, each person has the option of a handy device. This speaks, describes & explains aLL about Windsor Castle niCe & preCise ;-)

Walter & Gaylene

The guards are REAL! They're as perfeCt soldiers, extremely committed & obedient to their work.
They're not (in real life) posing for the crowds-&-crowds of tourists but simply guarding at their commissioned posts!

Moat Garden
Where the moat once was, is now a refreshing & beautiful garden!

A loooNG road met us at the end of our Windsor Castle tour!
A long straight-line road with luscious green grass on either side for miles!
Walter & Gaylene came all prepared with a home-brought, perfeCt, tourist-picnic-packed lunch... we had a desperate break on some comfortable grass, under a comfortable tree :-)

~

It was a stunning day in England ;-) ..
..When the day & time for a second ACTIvITY!
We attempted some punting in Cambridge on the lovely River Cam!

Cambridge University on the River Cam

Crowds, & lots more crowds of people were 'singing' Levi's famous tune ..."uh-oH, uh-oH!!!"...

with the current & flow bringing lots & loTs of bumping into each other!
Sitting back & enjoying this ride... while Alan, Chantelle & Walter took turns to 'do the deeD', was a pleasure... indeeD!!!

~

It was a bank holiday on the 27th, Monday. Walter was free from official work & available to journey a new experience with us in London!
Our lamb friends, Walter & Gaylene, all geared up with map-in-hand & precious instructions from Chantelle... the five of us headed towards the London Eye!
When heading towards our ultimate destination, we passed the Parliment buildings & Big Ben!
The architecture of these buildings are finely impressiVe(carefully planned, creative detail!), a personal favourite sight!!

Parliment Buildings & BiG BeN!

Just across the road ...

Westminister Abby
This is the traditional place of coronation & the burial sight of all the English monarchs ...hmmm??? sound a little hifaluted hey!? ;-)
...
the English Kings & Queens are buried here!

The London Eye was most polite, moving slowly & gentally, to all tourists huddling in their little bubbles!
A stunninG aerial view of much of 'the London' captured...

.. from where 1may sit, stand, look & see in our little capsules 'thingieS'!

...Directly from here, continuing along the Thames & on our way to Madam Tussuad's; amongst some of the street entertainment...

we past a couple sculptures, to our eye, boLdY on display...

These of one of Mark's favourite artists ... SalVaDoR DaLi !

and?... then?... so?,,,

We gonna go for a ride underground now? !!
The actual, proper thought, in a reality sense, of zooting around a HUGE city in an electric train...
& this all below the surface level(with hundreds & thousands of 'happenings' just above) ... allows to create for some, a kind of weird awe sensation...idea! ;-)
though 'in real life'... a tube, train, u-bahn, s-bahn are one & the same!
Excellent-brilliant & thank-you to those that make public transport so accessible & such a pleasure! :-)

This street is served by the London underground by Baker street tube station(the world's first subway station)
Also, famous for it's connection to the fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes!

With great expectation...(I think), we walked into the well known & very impressive wax museum (set up by the Swiss wax sculptor, Marie Tussaud).
... Madame Tussauds ...

the actual famous Tiger Woods... ??? ;-) heeee ,,, only though!... perhaps-maybe little Tooo shinY!?

baby Einstein

'before'!!

'after'??
;-)

Mark left the house with Walter on Tuesday morning. After going their separate ways from Walter's place of work...
Mark, had his own secret moments of exploring, experiencing & viewing some of the streets of English London.

Millennium Bridge

Sir Francis Drake's ship - Golden Hind

Tower Of London
Tower Bridge

St Paul's Cathedral~

LaDy~lamB & Mrs MoO,,, Gaylene & I... our dreamed-of, special-saCred tea with a picture-book kind of tea pot & stuFF didn't fill the 'end' picture .... 'CEpT a precious day all to ourselves togetheR!

The evening before we left ... the 6 of us sealed this time with some famouS Roome's SChokoLaDe mousse!!!
