Towards the end of January we took a trip down to Zurich with our freinds Thomas and Julia. I think this is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to, and I think it is quite highly rated world over as being one of the most desirable cities to live in.
We did not have enough time to really explore it. We walked aroudn a bit, then went to this really great restaurant for lunch / dinner. We then strolled around a bit more before having to come home. We will definetaly be back.
Not too sure why there was netting over this tree.
Liesel, Julia and Levi taking in the scenery.
This was a MASSIVE hunk of gold. The label reads: "Smaller nuggets are available at the first floor". I don't know if it is real though.
This is the restaurant we went to. Zeugtersheim. It is basically a war museum / restaurant and they have old guns and thigns all over the show.
And you thought those massive glasses of beer were a joke? They actually pour some kind of liquour on them and light it (with fire yes), must give the whole thing a smokey kind of flavour.
After we left the restaurant, we took a bit of a walk.

First Christmas
Our first Christmas in Germany. Liesels parents came over on Christmas day, and stayed for 2 weeks with us, so it was not so lonely.
Liesels parents, knackered after their flight, taking it easy on the spareroom bed.
Levi, re-arranging all the shoes.
Getting funky.
Awed, so many presents!
If I hide behind the Christmans tree, maybe I can sneak a present.
I'll just run off with this pine cone instead.
Opening the presents at last.
Post present euphoria, and resting.
We had some freinds over to share our Christmas dinner.
The Christmas cake doubled as Liesels dads birthday cake.
We went for a walk in the forest, and came across this frozen puddle. Keith thought he would check and see how think it was. At least he didn't have to walk hom with a wet shoe :)
Levi, getting into his new toys.
These turned out to be a favourite treat for this time - a nice big fat juica Döner.
Some of the decorations at the Stern shopping center in Sindelfingen.
Dressed up in the winter woolies in Stuttgart.
Levi's new trike.
South African??
We went to the Hohenzollern Schloss again, but took the parents with. It was quite a walk up to the castle, but it was FREEZING cold. (Yes, thats me looking like a highway-man on the right)
Just taking it easy after a long day of sight seeing.
We took a real "in the snow" picture, just to prove that they were really here.
A family pic, just 'cause.
